Jeff Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz, a successful entrepreneur for 24 years, brings his vision, negotiation and strategic relationship building skills to the Company. In this capacity, he has reorganized the Company, and recruited a new management team and Advisory Board. Prior to joining ionMedia and serving as Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Counsel, he operated his own full-service law practice, representing numerous small to medium sized businesses, as well as national corporations, in both transactional and litigation matters. Mr. Schwartz, a candidate for U.S. Congress in 1992, serves as an arbitrator and Pro Tem Judge of the San Diego Superior Court. He was the youngest justice elected to the International Supreme Court of Delta Theta Phi, where he was re-elected 3 times before declining to serve a 5th term. He has conceptualized and developed ongoing programs with NBC-TV, San Diego State University, the State University of New York and the State Bar of California, and in the past, ran ice cream and process serving businesses.



Steve Burks

Mr. Burks has extensive experience in network design, implementation, systems analysis, security auditing, bandwidth management, and technical consultation. He designed and implemented the ionMedia server network to respond to the mission critical elements of reliability, scale, and protection from data loss. Before joining ionMedia, Mr. Burks operated The Computer Doctor and Future Technologies Support, companies dedicated to advanced technologies, including network design, systems analysis, upgrade and installation. Previously, he developed technical systems for the United States Navy, and has operated printing and electrical engineering companies.



Wil Hatfield

Mr. Hatfield has 22 years of software engineering and design experience including web site development, project management, database administration, troubleshooting, and hardware and network setup. He has been instrumental in designing and developing the ionMedia applications, ensuring that the components interact efficiently with the web user and the customer's data. Prior to joining ionMedia, Mr. Hatfield owned and actively managed HiddenValley HyperMedia, where he led a team of web developers and graphic artists in the creation of Internet and Intranet web sites for small businesses and large corporate accounts. He has developed NT and Unix web solution servers with sophisticated configurations to include web delivery, e-mail, SSL, SQL, XML, WAP, and secure e-commerce transaction processing.



Marvin A. Estrin

Mr. Estrin, CPA, has 23 years of financial management experience in business planning, financial analysis, consulting, accounting, and cash management. He has served as Chief Financial Officer and management consultant for several start-up companies, and as the initial Controller for the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County, where he was hired to create a finance department, provide leadership, and make financial management an integral part of the planning process. In these positions, Mr. Estrin developed business plans, financial models, initiated finance departments, and prepared consolidated financial statements for audit by Big 5 CPA firms. He has guided ionMedia in determining market positioning, developing competitive advantage strategies, and preparing financial projections. He has an MBA from Cleveland State University and a BS in Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio).



Cary Ordway

Mr. Ordway has 28 years of publication management experience, holding top editorial and managerial positions at daily, weekly and monthly newspapers including the Seattle Times, Del Mar Times, Guest Informant, and Adventure Northwest Magazine, which he founded and published for 12 years. He has also served as a professor of journalism, and successfully managed sales and marketing for an e-commerce business. A third-generation newspaperman, Mr. Ordway developed ionMedia's sales and commission strategies, sales projections, and initiated recruitment of Market Managers

Jim Fitzpatrick

Mr. Fitzpatrick has an extensive background in publishing, national marketing and advertising. He is the CEO and publisher of San Diego Magazine, having acquired it on the decline and restoring it to its former popularity in a major turn-around effort. Prior to this, he published Entrepreneur magazine in Orange County. Mr. Fitzpatrick serves on the Board of Directors of numerous civic organizations, and is the President of CRMA (City and Regional Magazine Association), a growing and vibrant association dedicated exclusively to the problems and concerns of city and regional magazines. He is also past chair of the San Diego International Sports Council, which promotes San Diego/Tijuana as the preferred region for sporting events and activities that benefit the community, economically and socially. He received a BA and BS from Valparaiso University and an MBA from Golden State University.



Tom Guest

Mr. Guest after receiving his Masters degree from Oklahoma State University served as the General Manager for the Trader Publishing Company increasing their annual revenues from 1.3 million to 3.2 million, and realizing a net profit of forty percent (40%). Following upper level management positions with Kendallville Publishing and Nixon Newspapers in the early 90s, Mr. Guest became one of the founding members of PowerAdz whose primary stockholder is Add Inc./Journal Communications of Milwaukee. During his tenure with PowerAdz, Mr. Guest's primary emphasis was on developing, implementing and integrating Internet strategy. Through his leadership, PowerAdz created the largest independent newspaper group affiliation in the United States - over 1,600 papers. These papers improved profitability through increased revenue, which in most all cases surpassed normal expectations. Mr. Guest has been recognized as one of the foremost authorities in the publishing industry for supplementing a newspaper's off line presence to an online presence.



Jeffrey Hall

Mr. Hall has 24 years experience in large, medium, and small publishing/media companies. He is the owner, founder, editor and publisher of the Brentwood Media Group- five separate publications in the affluent Westside of Los Angeles. He has served as a consultant on various marketing, media, and Internet projects. Prior to founding Brentwood, he worked for the Los Angeles Times as President of the Valley and Ventura County Editions, and as Vice President of Marketing for the Kansas City Star. He has served as a White House Fellow and Assistant to the President in the Office of Policy Development in the White House. Mr. Hall received his B.A. in Communications from Stanford University and MBA from Harvard Graduate School.
